
To the 55th anniversary of the first manned space flight: The exhibition “The first flight” in the Peter and Paul Fortress
Since April 12, 2016 to May 12, 2016 at the V. P. Glushko Museum of astronautics and rocketry (the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. John Ravelin) takes place an exhibition from the collections of the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, which is dedicated to the first manned space flight.
Multimedia program tells about the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, how he had the first in the history of space flight around the Earth, as well as the locations on the map of our country associated with the name of Yuri Gagarin.
The exhibition presents posters of 1961-1970s dedicated to the flight of Yuri Gagarin into space, and the annual celebration of Cosmonautics Day on April 12.
Of particular interest there are photos of 1961-1966s, captured Yuri Gagarin at events in Moscow and Leningrad.
