Book publishing and book distribution: Russia presents new editions at the International Book Fair in London

From 12 to 14 April 2016 in London, in the oldest exhibition center "Olympia", is held the 45th International Book Fair The London Book Fair-2016 (LBF-2016), the most important event in the global book industry, which attracts thousands of professionals: publishers, literary agents, librarians, booksellers and translators. 

At LBF-2016 there is no country - the guest of honor, as this year's Fair is held in parallel with the International Congress of Publishers, the organizers decided that the guests of honor will be all members of Congress, the global publishing industry professionals.

In 2011, for the first time Russia has participated as a guest of honor at the London Book Fair, and in 2014, within the framework of the Year of Russian cross cultures and the UK, an honorary guest of the fair-city has become the capital of Russia Moscow.

Russia's participation in the London Book Fair 2016 is part of a program of cross Year of Language and Literature of Great Britain and Russia, which will be an important milestone in developing and strengthening relations between the two countries.

The Russian stand will exhibit 500 titles - Russian publishing novelties. Particular attention will be given to the works of Russian writers whose anniversaries are celebrated in 2016; educational and children's literature, as well as books published in the British publishers in the framework of the grant program of the Institute of Translation.

At the end of the exhibition the book exposition will be donated to the Mission of Rossotrudnichestvo in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The program of events is extremely rich. In total will be held over 30 presentations, "round tables", author evenings and discussions. They will present initiatives, opening up opportunities for publishers, translators and literary agents around the world. 

In addition, every day at the Russian stand will hold consultations on the remote study of the Russian language, organized by the Pushkin Institute of Russian Language and will be held a seminar for teachers of the Russian language on the new features of its learning and teaching.
