History and culture: The research and practical seminar “Problems of conservation and restoration of documents in modern conditions” in Moscow

7-8 April 2016 the Department of the restoration of library collections of the Russian State Library (Moscow) is held the scientific and practical seminar for leaders and leading specialists of conservation and restoration centers in Russia "Problems of preservation and restoration of documents in modern conditions".

As part of the event is scheduled the round table "Restoration of books in today's realities. Problems, Prospects and Solutions", where experts will discuss:

- The problem of certification of restorers of library and archival materials, the requirements of the evaluation commission of the Ministry of Culture of Russia;

- Exchange of experience in organizing the restoration process (manufacturing facilities, microbiological studies, work with biological damage, preventive conservation, climatic conditions of storage, conservation of book bindings, software training restorers of library and archival materials).
