Information technology and science: The virtual tour through the models of the International Cosmic Station is launched
At the website of the European Space Agency (ESA) has appeared the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the modules of the International Space Station. To consider the details of all the modules of the ISS can be possible in a special section of the website.
Virtual tour is based on photographs taken by Samantha Cristoforetti: it has made 15 shots in each module station before leaving it after a 199-day stay on board. Experts have put photos together to create an interactive panorama and placed it on the ESA website.
On the panoramas you can see how the ISS appeared in June 2015 after a slight reshuffle - then a multipurpose module "Leonardo" has found its new place in the station.
Using the virtual tour, you can move from module to module, zoom in to see something more. And by clicking on the special icon, you can view detailed information about the individual elements of the station apparatus, and even listen to video explanations by astronauts.
