Society and reading: Citywide Days of Reading, dedicated to the Year of Russian Cinema, in Veliky Novgorod

From March 31 to April 3, 2016 in Veliky Novgorod is held for a long time being traditional the Citywide Days of reading.

This wonderful holiday appeared in Novgorod in 2002. Being one of the first days of the Week of the city library, very soon it became an independent, eventful citywide celebration. Participation includes city libraries, joined by cultural institutions of Veliky Novgorod - cinemas, theaters, museums and art groups.

As 2016 is declared the Year of Cinema, the film adaptation is loved by readers of all ages, and the reading festival theme this year - "The Book of the frame". The guests of the festival this time will be the St. Petersburg writers and play writers Dmitri Karalis and Valery Georgievich Popov.
