Territory of Russia: International forum “Free Arctic” is held in the Nenets Autonomous district

From March 31 to April 2, 2016 in Naryan-Mar (Nenets Autonomous District) is held the First International Arctic tourism forum "Free Arctic". The main theme of the forum is the development of the tourist potential of the Arctic.

Also at the forum are discussed new forms of international cooperation in the development of tourism products in the Arctic. A separate topic will be the development of environmentally friendly forms of tourism in the Arctic, organizing expeditions and the involvement of indigenous peoples in tourist activities.

Participants of the forum "Free Arctic" will be able to experience the unique culture of the northern peoples of Russia at the festival "Syamenhat Meret" ("The fastest) which program included competitions in national sports.
