The Year of Russian Cinema-2016: The exhibition “Tsarskoye Selo. Cinema Space”

In the Year of Russia Cinema in the Museum-Reserve "Tsarskoye Selo" was opened the exhibition "Tsarskoye Selo. Cinema Space" (pavillion "Upper bath", Catherine Park). The exposition is dedicated to motion pictures that have been shot here over the years.

Visitors will see photos of still pictures of many famous films, fragments of these films. In addition, the exhibition features photographs that reveal the most interesting working moments of filming: installation geliotrub in the Catherine Palace, the establishment of the hospital decorations in the Great Hall, spraying of artificial snow on the parade ground.

Tsarskoye Selo - a "hero" for more than 40 domestic and foreign films - from "The Man with a Gun" by Sergei Yutkevich (1938) to "Matilda" by Alexei Uchitel (2015). "War and Peace" by Sergei Bondarchuk (1967), "The Captivating Star of Happiness" by Vladimir Motyl (1975), "18-14" by Andres Puustusmaa (2008), "Anna Karenina" by Sergei Solovyov (2009), "Rasputin" by Jose Diana (2011 ), "The great" by Igor Zaitsev (2015), "Garpastum" (2005) and "Under the electric clouds" (2015) by Alexei German Jr. - are just a small part of the tapes, and episodes of great scenes that were filmed in the museum-reserve.
