Exhibitions: Painting by V. A. Serov “Portrait of Prince Felix Yusupov” from the State Russian Museum collection is presented at the exhibition in Arkhangelskoye

In the Museum-Estate "Arkhangelskoye" (Moscow) was opened an exhibition of paintings by V. A. Serov "Portrait of Prince Felix Yusupov" from the collection of the State Russian Museum. One hundred thirteen portrait returned to the Grand Palace, where it was created by the renowned Russian portraitist.

Painting by Valentin Serov rightly occupied an important place in the history of Russian art, as depicted on it, Felix Yusupov, who became one of the most brilliant representatives of the St. Petersburg high society. On the canvas, Prince Yusupov, was depicted in his school years. The nature of the sixteen young men noted artist features that are characteristic of this scion of an aristocratic family of subtlety and maturity.

V. A. Serov has been creating a portrait for two years and this painting is certainly one of the best works of the artist.

Visitors of "Arkhangelskoye" will be able to see the portrait of Prince Felix Yusupov until 20 July 2016.
