The Russian language: The first Congress of the Society of Russian literature in Moscow

Society of Russian literature holds its first congress on May 26, 2016. According to Ludmila Verbitskaya, head of the Russian Academy of Education and the Board of Trustees of the "Russkiy Mir", it is held in the Russian capital. According to her, the opening ceremony will be attended by the head of state. There will be brought together cultural workers - composers, artists and writers.

The first working group opened their meetings yesterday. They were held in the library of the Moscow State University.

Society of Russian Literature was established in Russia in the beginning of March. Its work was supervised by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church. According to Patriarch Kirill, the main task of the new organization will be the preservation and popularization of the Russian language in the country and abroad, as well as a qualitative change in the situation in the high school in teaching Russian language and literature.
