Society and book culture: The XI Saint-Petersburg International Book Salon, dedicated to the Year of Russian Cinema

May 26, 2016 was launched the XI Saint-Petersburg International Book Salon, dedicated to the Year of Russian cinema and Greek literature and culture. It is held from 26 to 29 May near the Mikhailovsky Manege (Winter Stadium) - at the Manege Square, Malaya Sadovaya Street and Klenovaya Street.

On Klenovaya Street will be organized Summer cinema, where everyone will be able to revise the classic films of national cinema. Screenings will take place in the evening for all four days of the salon, and the films will be presented by well-known film critics.

As part of the salon it is planned about 250 events of the business program. Visitors are waiting for meetings, round tables and presentations with the participation of well-known writers. 

In addition, the Klenovaya Street provides 42 pavilions for non-profit publishing houses, information salon partners, as well as for book crossing.

Presidential Library is also participating in the St. Petersburg International Book Salon.
