
Museums of Russia: The exhibition of rare books is opened in the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities to the 205th anniversary of the establishment
May 25, 2016 in the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities are held events dedicated to the 205th anniversary of the museum.
As part of events is opened an exhibition "L. P. Colley and Ligurian Royal Society for the history of the Fatherland".
The exhibition reflects the stages of cooperation of the curator of the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities from 1900 to 1917. L. P. Collie and Ligurian Royal Fatherland history of society, - the Italian scientific Historical Society, one of the aims of which was to study the medieval Genoese colony, which center in the XIV-XV centuries was Theodosius.
The exhibition presents the first 10 volumes of rare books published by the society and donated to L. P. Collie Society delegation who visited Feodosia in August 1913. One book contains illustrations: photos of Genoese embedded boards, as well as maps of some Genoese colony.
There are presented high quality pictures of expositions of all-Italian exhibition in Genoa in 1914, which also exhibited Crimean exhibits sent to Italy by L. P. Collie.
It is exhibited Diploma issued by L. P. Collie by the Ligurian Royal Society for the History of the Fatherland, a certificate of awarding the custodian of the museum Commander's Cross of the Order of the Crown of Italy.
In addition, the exhibition presents some other interesting exhibits, including a clipping from the newspaper "Feodosia life" of August 14, 1913, "The Italians in Feodosia", as well as photos of the Italian delegation on the yacht "Kafa".
