History and culture: The exhibition “Secrets of Zlatoust masters” in the Kazan Kremlin

The exhibition "Secrets of Zlatoust masters" was opened at the Museum Cannon courtyard of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin". Zlatoust - one of the oldest cities in the Urals. Already in the XIX century, it is world famous for its decorated weapons, engravings.

The exhibition features over two hundred exhibits of exceptional artistic and historical value of the meetings of the Zlatoust City Museum of Local History and companies - members of the Guild of Zlatoust armourers. 

Visitors of the museum can see the front door, and premium edged weapons, household items. All exhibits - outstanding works of Russian decorative art of the XIX-XXI centuries, made in a special technique of printing on metal with gold-plated, silver plated, burnished.

Talent of Zlatoust masters was marked by the royal family. The pearl of the exhibition are undoubtedly children's armor, made for the 12-year-old Crown Prince, the heir, the future Emperor Alexander II of, and recognized masterpiece of science and technology.

The exhibition is complemented by modern masters-engravers. With a high level of professionalism and creativity, they provide an understanding of what Zlatoust tradition not only lives, but also is successfully developing.
