Information technology and museums: The Museum of Contemporary Art of San Francisco presented mobile application with built-in geolocation

Opened after the reconstruction the Museum of Modern Art of San Francisco (SFMoMA) offers a completely new mobile application for Museum visitors.

Using location services, the app pinpoints the location of the visitor in the museum. Thus, the application always knows exactly where the visitor is, and accordingly adapts the embedded audio guide.

The content of the audio guide tours can also be varied by the user from the "philosophical and emotional" to "funny and strange". American radio presenters and actors read texts. The application also helps to find the right room.
