History of Moscow: Photo exhibition “Military Moscow” opened in the capital under the open sky

In Moscow, within the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was opened a photo exhibition "Military Moscow", prepared by the Main Archive Department of Moscow. The exhibition, consisting of a unique photographic document of Archival fund of Moscow, is located in the open air on the Profsoyuznaya Street in front of the Main Archive in Moscow.

Rare pictures of famous Soviet photographer Boris Ignatovich, Alexander Ustinov, Boris Yaroslavtsev, Yakov Khalip and others talk about the great feat of the Muscovites, who defended hometown, built fortifications, extinguished the enemy "lighters" collected personal funds on tanks and armored trains. Each photo is provided with a brief exposition of historical information describing the life of wartime capital.

A special place in the exposition belongs to photos of Moscow factory shops. Not for a second did not stop the work of industrial enterprises, which from the beginning of the war began to produce military products.

The exhibition will be exhibited until May 15.
