Information technology and culture: Bolshoi Theatre launched its own video channel

The State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia and the company BCC announce the launch of the official video channel of the Bolshoi Theatre. The full channel will be launched in September 2016, now it is available the theater test version at the website.

The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia is considered one of the best musical theaters of the world. Creativity of outstanding musicians, artists, filmmakers, artists of the Bolshoi Theatre cause permanent interest among the public at large. The Bolshoi Theatre is continually extending its audience, often touring both in Russia and abroad, organizing live broadcasts of ballets in more than 1,000 cinemas planet, as well as placing video content on their performances at the public Internet resources. Seeing how serious demand these initiatives, the Bolshoi theater management decided to create its own video channel. This channel will be a unique resource, where you can see exclusive video broadcast of the Bolshoi Theatre, premieres and festival screenings, performances and historical record of outstanding performers.   

At the heart of the creation of channel is development of company BCC - platform MEDIASTAGE, having a rich set of advanced interactive media services that provide users with the most comfortable viewing and personalization of video content.

Convenient catalog of the video channel is divided into 12 thematic sections that are structured and assembled the relevant genre performances and videos: the season premiere, the ballet, the opera, concerts, news, interviews, about the theater, the Bolshoi Theatre in cinema, touring at the Bolshoi, the International Day of ballet and opera Day. Video service is available in two language versions - Russian and English, in the future it is planned the creation of Italian and Japanese versions.
