History of Russia: The exhibition “Empress Catherine II and her family” in Berlin
In Berlin is opened the exhibition "The Empress Catherine II and her family", dedicated to the Russian Empress Catherine the Great. The exposition was opened in the Russian House in Berlin. It was prepared by the State Historical Museum in Moscow, together with the City of the Saxon town of Zerbst and the International Society "Catherine II".
The number of items, selected for the exhibition, includes dozens of copies of the best paintings and graphic portraits from the collection of the Moscow Historical Museum. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the work of Rokotoff, Serdyukov, Levitsky artist’s workshop and a number of other well-known artists.
As part of the opening ceremony of the insert as a gift to the Russian Embassy in Berlin was given a big picture painted by the artist S. Onuchkin with views of St. Petersburg.
