Society and science: Research readings of memory of A. S. Popov, dedicated o the Radio Day, in Saint-Petersburg

May 6, 2016 in the A. S. Popov Central Museum of Communications (St. Petersburg) is traditionally held for the ninth time scientific readings in memory of Popov dedicated to the Radio Day - the holiday of communication industry workers (celebrated on May 7).

The topic of the Ninth research readings: "Networks and communication lines: Past, Present and Future".

The first line telecommunications were established in the 1840s. For more than 170 years of telecommunication networks and lines of technology has changed dramatically, and end-line equipment. To the history, the present and the prospects for the development of networks and communication lines are devoted to the Ninth Scientific Readings in the A. S. Popov Central Museum of Communications.

Scientific readings are attended by representatives of companies - telecom operators, enterprises, producing equipment, scientific and educational institutions, museums - all who are interested in the history of networks and communication lines, and the prospects for their development.
