Information technology and history: Presentation of interactive virtual encyclopedia of the Great Patriotic War “Road to Victory 1941-1945” in Saint-Petersburg

To the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineer and Signal Corps (St. Petersburg) took place the presentation of an interactive virtual encyclopedia of the Great Patriotic War "Road to Victory 1941-1945". The presentation presented Chapter "June 22, 1941 Home".

Interactive Encyclopedia "Road to Victory 1941-1945" is a global virtual map of military operations of the Great Patriotic War, which makes it possible to trace the change in the front line after the attack on the USSR, Hitler's troops June 22, 1941, then - to stop the advance of Nazi troops under Moscow and up to May 8, 1945.

Changing the front line is accompanied by summaries of the Soviet Information Bureau, film and photo chronicle.

As part of the presentation on the first days and weeks of the war, there was a demonstration of virtually-reconstructed historical maps of Europe, 1939-1941, which allows you to see which Western and Eastern European countries after their capture by Nazi Germany no longer existed in its original borders of before the start of war with the Soviet Union.

More battle was discussed in detail in the Bialystok bulge, the first major battle of the Great Patriotic War.

Special presentation theme: events in Leningrad during the first days and months of the war. They were shown on the basis of newsreel archival documents, memoirs of blockade and war veterans.
