Memory of Russia: Round table within the traveling exhibition project “Heroes of nuclear front. Place of feat – Chernobyl” in Moscow
In 2016, as part of the memorable and memorial events related to the 30th anniversary of the events at Chernobyl, "Red Corner" Foundation for the Support Arts and Culture carries out a large-scale traveling exhibition project "Heroes of the nuclear front. Place of feat - Chernobyl".
The project takes place in the framework of the federal target program "Culture of Russia 2012-2018" of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
This project will provide an opportunity to organize the creative forces of contemporary art in the traditional large-scale multinational exhibition project, which will serve as a symbol of Chernobyl theme, through the prism of the authors who have expressed their views on the topic of courage and heroism, union and solidarity in difficult moments. The exposition will include documentary drawings, sketches, created by artists in the period of liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, painting, drawing, art objects, films and installations devoted to the events of the Chernobyl tragedy, work of famous artists, as well as the work of creative youth.
The project consists of a series of traveling exhibitions, which will be held at the largest exhibition venues in Russia and CIS countries for 2016. Moving to different cities and regions, the exhibition project will be educational platform, a place for discussion, news conferences and round tables.
June 23, 2016 in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation in the framework of the project is held the first round table on "The phenomenon of the tragic or the impact of the tragic events of the second half of the XX century, including the Chernobyl disaster on the arts and culture".
The round table will be attended by prominent figures, artists, art historians and scientists.
