Memory of the world: The exhibition “Remember…The world was saved by Russian soldier” to remain in Kerch as a gift to the city-hero

22 June 2016

In the foyer of the Y. Bogatikov urban cultural center (Kerch, Respublika of Crimea) June 22, 2016 on the anniversary of the Great Patriotic War was opened the exhibition "Remember… The world was saved by a Soviet soldier".

The large-scale project of the Russian military-historical society was first introduced in February last year in Moscow, after which visited 11 cities of Russia. In Kerch the exhibition will remain forever as a gift to the city-hero.

The basis of the exhibition is documentary photographs, videos, and thematic installations, emphasizing the oppressive atmosphere of the war years, showing the harsh truth about the price paid by the Soviet people for the victory.

In each city, where the exhibition traveled existed its own configuration, so the appearance of the exposition hardly repeated. It will be unique in Kerch too.

"Kerch - only one of the hero-cities, where there is no museum of the Great Patriotic War. We have asked that the exhibition "Remember… The world was saved by Soviet soldier" and the exhibition "The Soviet Nuremberg" remained in the Kerch and operated on a permanent basis. We went to meet it. This argument will be further addressing the issue of construction in the city of the Great Patriotic War Museum", - said the head of the Administration of the city of Kerch Sergey Pisarev.
