World culture: The exhibition of Western European engraving of the XVIII century “Magnificent century of engraving” in the Museum-Reserve “Tsaritsyno”

The exhibition "Magnificent Century of engraving. Western European graphics of the XVIII century from the collection of A. N. Sevastyanov" is opened on June 15, 2016 at the Grand Palais Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" (Moscow). The exhibition features 56 prints works of Western masters of the XVIII century of the graphics collection of Alexander Sevastyanov, which is considered one of the best in modern Russia.

On the example of the excellent work of the greatest masters of the era, members of the Moscow meeting of the connoisseur of old European engravings and book graphics Alexander Sevastyanov, visitors of the exhibition will have the opportunity to directly meet with the main engraving techniques of the XVIII century: at the exposition is installed a printing press, presented examples of major engraving tools, enlarged details of some sheets illustrate engraving technique - engraving cutter, woodcut (woodcut), etching, aquatint, pencil style, dotted, Lavis and mezzotint.
