History and culture: The exhibition “Children’s WORLD of a Postcard” in Moscow

In the Central House of Artists in Moscow was held an exhibition "Children's WORLD (History of the Russian Museum) of a Postcard" in Moscow. Visitors can get acquainted with the Russian holidays, fairy tale characters from different eras, as well as to get into a fascinating journey into "Space" through the cards. The exposition will last till September 6.

Viewers have been presented more than 11 thousand postcards from private collections. Each card in ten halls of the exhibition - is the story about the rich history of the first Russian software distribution image of the late XIX century to the present day. So, in the hall "World Tales" are presented different versions illustrated tales of Pushkin and Russian folk tales. In the hall "Festival" there are postcards, illustrating the triumph of the Soviet Union, congratulations to 1 May, Victory Day, on March 8 and the New Year.  

The variety of children of persons of different nationalities is in the room "Children of the USSR". In the "Game Room" for children are presented expositions cards from the series "Toys of Benoit" by designer of the ballet "Russian Seasons" by Alexander Benois. The exposition is located next to the Soviet era postcards urging children not to play with fire, and carefully handle hazardous household items.

Hall "Space" offers viewers of a postcard star and space subjects: unknown galaxy, constellation open, Yuri Gagarin portraits, scientists, inventors, whose life has been associated with space flight - all this is presented at the exhibition.

Russian Post participated in the expositions. Visitors can get acquainted with the objects and attributes of Russian mail since its organization to the present day.
