The VIII International IT-Forum with the participation of BRICS and the SCO countries takes place in Khanty-Mansiysk June 8-9, 2016.

Today Khanty-Mansiysk International IT-Forum has proved to be a platform for discussion of specific applicable projects and determining of goal setting in the field of integration of the digital space of the participating countries.

It is important to preserve the value of the event as an international discussion platform, where current trends in the development of information and communication technologies are reviewed and presented, practical issues are discussed, where search for tools of promotion of new technology trends is performed. At the same time, it is necessary to focus an agenda as much as possible on the implementation of regional level projects in both constituent units of the Russian Federation and administrative and territorial units of the participating countries of the BRICS and the SCO.

Targets of the Forum

- To assess the current state and prospects of development and technological trends of IT in the fields of management of state activities, municipal services, health care, education, culture and tourism;

- To discuss topical issues of development, production and implementation of the national special software, telecommunications equipment and to identify solutions.

- To identify ways of collaboration of Russia and other countries of the BRICS and the SCO for the consolidation of efforts on the development of information technologies;

- To create of image of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra as an innovative region, which is developing and applying contemporary approaches to informatization.

The conference program will include such an important topic as the media and information literacy of the population, especially children and youth. Today the ability of the government to bring up educated personnel in the field of information and communication technologies is becoming a strategic objective, and not only the general cultural level depends on the quality of these solutions. In addition to addressing the internal political problems, media literacy of the population and its compliance with global standards simplifies and strengthens bilateral relations. In this regard, the role of international institutions becomes more important, including for the purpose to consider and achieve legislative consolidation of initiatives aimed at improving the security of information and rules of conduct under conditions of imposed information confrontation. In addition, the topic of open government will be discussed.
