Exhibitions: The painting masterpieces from the collection of Karisalov family in the State Pushkin Museum

On June 2, 2016, shortly before the Day of Pushkin in Russia an unusual exhibition project entitled "The Creations of Art and Inspiration," which is for the first time in Moscow opens to public in the State Pushkin Museum (Moscow) the painting masterpieces from the private collection of the famous Karisalov family from St. Petersburg.

The audience will see more than 25 little-known portrait paintings, belonging to the brushes of prominent Russian and Western artists of XVIII-XIX century L. Levitsky, V. Borovikovsky, K. Bryullov, A. Kiprensky, V. Tropinin, father and son Lumpy, Dow, Golike, Robertson, ect.

The exhibition “The Creations of Arts and Inspiration” will differs with showing a unique material. Temporary the portraits of famous historical figures, contemporaries of Pushkin and the models will be "inserted" into a permanent museum exhibition "Pushkin and His Epoch."
