Information technology and society: Forum «Future of the Word: the future of Language and Literature in the Digital Age" in Moscow

From 2 to 4 June 2016 the British Council in collaboration with the Institute for Media, Architecture and Design "Arrow" holds in Moscow Future of the Word Forum, dedicated to the development and language change in today's world, digital technologies in publishing, new trends in literature and new ways transmitting information in Russia and the United Kingdom.

The main part of the forum will be a professional "laboratory of ideas" that illuminates various aspects of language and literature. British and Russian experts in the field of digital technology, publishing, media, design and programming, as well as writers, journalists, literary critics and linguists will be from different points of view to explore the phenomenon of the word and its evolution in the XXI century. In addition to the laboratory, to a greater extent focused on the professionals the program of the forum includes a number of public lectures, discussions and performances with the participation of the invited experts.

Forum Future of the Word is a part of the language of the Year program and literature of Great Britain and Russia in 2016.
