World history: The exhibition, dedicated to participants of the Australian-New Zealand Army Corps, who fought during the First World War, in the Martial Chamber

May 31, 2016 in the Martial Chamber (the Museum-Reserve "Tsarskoye Selo") was opened an exhibition "Russian Anzacs: threads of the lost history". The exhibition features photographs and biographies of more than 30 Russian participants in Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought in the First World War.

In 2015, Australia celebrated its 100-year anniversary of the landing of the ANZAC Corps at Gallipoli Peninsula. Australian Imperial Force (AIF), which are then grown Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC - Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) in 1914, the outbreak of the First World War, a volunteer special First Australian Imperial Force was formed.

Russian Australians since the first day of disembarkation April 25, 1915 until the last day of the evacuation were also part of the "ANZAC legend". As part of the Australian Expeditionary Force at Gallipoli were participated about 160 natives of Russia - representatives of many nations of the Russian Empire.

In 2015 the State Museum "Tsarskoye Selo" was presented from the Australian Embassy the copies of photographs, which depicted Russian, who fought in the First World War as part of Anzac, as well as the book "Russian Anzacs in Australian history" of Australian historian Helen Govor, and memorable medals.
