History and culture: Coins of the Golden Horde period found by archaeologists in the Yaroslavl region

Archaeologists from the Yaroslavl expedition opened the 26th season in the settlement of Ust Sheksna - predecessor of Rybinsk and have found valuable items of Golden Horde period and pre-Mongolian time.

For example, a glass bracelet of female was found, which has been preserved as a whole, rather than fragments. In the areas it has been assembled traditional material of ancient and late medieval times.

A fine example of medieval warrior weapons was found - an ax-stamping. The article also revealed from colored metal, including Icon of Our Lady - the product jewelers of 12-13 centuries. In the central part of the settlement were found some coins of times of the Golden Horde.
