History and culture: The exhibition, dedicated to the Bolshoi Theatre in the Moscow region

July 21, 2016 in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Moscow region "New Jerusalem" is opened a unique exhibition project "The Bolshoi Theatre. Episodes of History", dedicated to the life of the famous theater and its outstanding opera and ballet performances.

In order to carry out a large-scale project it is used all the advantages of an innovative museum and exhibition complex "New Jerusalem". Especially for the unique exhibits of the Museum of the Bolshoi Theater architectural bureau "Progress-88" was developed the author exhibition project with simulated space characteristic attributes of the theater: the viewing box and scenes. There have also been made individual showcases of costumes. Light equipment complements the perception of the exposition.

The exhibition covers the period from the end of the XIX century to the present day. Viewers will be able to see the costumes and scenery of outstanding theater artists such as Konstantin Korovin, Fedor Fedorov, Simon Virsaladze, Vladimir Dmitriev and others. Also on display there are costumes and personal belongings of artists whose creative destiny is tied up with the Bolshoi Theatre: the baton of Peter Tchaikovsky, headpiece for party Odile, owned by Maya Plisetskaya, pointe by Juliet of Galina Ulanova, costumes by Elena Obraztsova, Vladimir Vasilyev, Ekaterina Maximova and other outstanding artists.

Posters, pictures, props, and even elements of the seat of the imperial box of the Bolshoi Theatre will plunge into the theatrical history, to remember the famous performers, to see the fine work of theater artists, costume designers, props.
