World history and culture: Ancient writings on papyrus are exhibited in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo for the first time presented in its exposition the famous ancient papyri conveys, says Artdaily.org portal. According to experts, the writings describe the details of the work of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

The find was made by a Franco-Egyptian team near the port of Wadi al-Jawf, the document describes the everyday life of port workers involved in the transportation of huge limestone blocks in Cairo.

According to experts, one of the documents was a member of the government diary with statistical data and administrative details. In it are also listed funds for salaries and maintenance workers coming from the Egyptian provinces.
