
Memory of Russia: The Military-Historical Festival “Battle on the Neva 2016” in Saint-Petersburg
16-17 July 2016 at the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg for the third time is held the Festival of Military History "Battle on the Neva".
"Battle on the Neva" - a spectacular mass battles, fights and jousting tournaments right in the heart of St. Petersburg. The festival was attended by dozens of historical reconstruction clubs from all over Russia and abroad. The historic Fair and dozens of themed entertainment venues work during the festival. For those who want to dig deeper into history, outdoor lectures is running. Here, during the festival is held a lecture for the general public by leading historians, master classes on historical crafts, discussion round tables and seminars on actual historical problems.
In addition, this year the tournament program is expanded.
Opposite the Artillery Museum is deployed a race horse, which present colorful reconstruction of the medieval knight's tournament. Just outside the historic walls of the fortress of their fighters waits for hiking arena fights.
