The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library collection has been enriched with an annual report of the Presidential Library for 2015, new collected woks of the Presidential Library and video materials from conferences.

Annual report

Information about all areas of activity of the Presidential Library in 2015 is presented in the Annual report (St. P., 2016). The publication contains information on the past year conferences, forums and events within the framework of the Academic Council on the participation of the Presidential Library at industry summits (the conference of the Russian Library Association, Cooperation Council, and others) and to external sites (Saint-Petersburg International Book Fair and the Moscow book fair, book fair in Frankfurt, at the festival "Red Square", dedicated to the Year of literature in Russia). The report describes the development and presentation of the portal and the international press center of the celebrations in Moscow, electronic collection of documents, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the issued jointly with the Saint Petersburg State University film "Victory is one for everyone". The data on the fund replenishment, the number of visits of the Presidential Library and the development of inter-regional network in 2015 is presented. 

Collected works (series "Historical jurisprudence")

The third edition of the collected works of the Presidential Library Territorial organization of the Russian state: Past and Present (St. Petersburg, 2016) is dedicated to the evolution of the territorial unit of the Russian state. Scientific articles, included in the collection, affect various aspects of the theory, history and practice of the territorial structure of the state, as well as regional policy of the Russian government in the XIX-XXI centuries. The collection contains archival documents published for the first time.

Speech by President of the Russian Library Association V. R. Firsov Legislative support for libraries at the present stage is devoted to the development of the law on access to information, libraries of both institutions, ensuring the realization of the right to information.

Speech of library specialist of Chongqing Library (China) Wang Chzhukan On issues related to copyright in the work of the public library is devoted to the characteristic of the achievements in the field of digital rights management of public libraries in China. The presentation provides a brief overview of their own special database of public libraries of data, the current situation management of copyright in China.
