Society and culture: The exhibition of a series “The benefit of one painting”, was opened in the Novgorod region
July 8, 2016 in the N. A. Nekrasov House-museum, the Chudov branch of the Novgorod Museum Reserve was opened the exhibition "Returned to its hearth…" from the series "The benefit of one painting".
The exhibition presents a painting of K. Bryullov "Portrait of writer and translator A. N. Strugovshchikov" (1840) from the collection of the Novgorod Museum Reserve. This work comes from the collection of family paintings of Strugovshchikov who lived before the revolution in Chudov.
In the center of attention - the story of the life of Novgorod nobleman A. N. Strugovshchikov, recognized as the best in the Russian translator J. W. Goethe and imprinted on canvas K. P. Bryullov (1799-1852).
The painting and the accompanying documentary can be seen until 31 August.
