Society and culture: The exhibition “Literary landscape in the graphics of Russian artists” from the collections of the Pushkin Reserve in the Museum-Reserve “Big Vyazyomy”
Until September 18, 2016 at the A. S. Pushkin State Historical and Literary Museum-Reserve (the Moscow region, Odintsovo district, Great Vyazyomy) was opened the exhibition "Literary landscape in the schedule of Russian artists" from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve.
For Pushkin Preserve, where the nature - a full-fledged hero of the story, and a museum object - the landscape genre in the collection of fine arts is leading. Artists of all generations seek to capture the modern "portrait" of a manor of Pushkin, Pushkin's corner, trying to create an artistic image, which would extend the existing iconography and eventually gained the status of the priceless document for future generations.
The exhibition from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve is 41 graphic works, of which as of the precious pieces of smalt, made up a picture of Pushkin Russian corner. A special place in the exhibition is a unique pre-war graphic of 1920-30s – works by Paul Shillingovsky and Adrian Kaplun. The literary landscape, full of associations with Pushkin's lines, fully found expression in the works of Basil Zvontsov, Sergey Frolov and Vladimir Alexeyev.
