Moscow History: Exhibition dedicated to outstanding architects of Moscow of late XIX - early XX centuries, opened in the capital

August 30, 2016 in the framework of the celebration of the Day of the City of Moscow in the library №164 «Educating workers" was opened historical and documentary exhibition dedicated to prominent architects of Moscow of late XIX - early XX centuries Fedor Shekhtel and Lev Kekushev. On the creative heritage of the legendary architects tells exposition prepared by the Main Archive Department of the city of Moscow on the materials of the Central State Archive of the City of Moscow with the participation of the Centralized Library System of the Southern Administrative District.

At the exhibition "Masters of Moscow Art Nouveau. Architects Fedor Shekhtel and Lev Kekushev" are presented documentary materials - drawings, projects of buildings and rare photos relating to the life and career of prominent architects. The work of these illustrious masters had a significant impact on the architectural appearance of Moscow. They succeeded brilliantly to implement a wide variety of architectural projects: business buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, houses, public buildings. Currently, about 80 facilities built by project of architects are registered in the city register of immovable cultural heritage of the capital.
