The exhibition shows 118 color photographs of the world-renowned Greek photographer. The exhibition is a result of five years creative work. Having started the work on the project in 2008, Stratos Kalafatis has made over 25 outings, during which the author's awareness of the world, where the cultures and traditions of all continents of the Earth have met, was deepening.

At the exhibition, viewers will see the majestic mountain scenery and the forest roads, in the elbows of which the crosses and the fountains may suddenly appear. From the first seconds an eye gets captivated with the monumental appearances of the temples and a modest beauty of cells and priories in ascetic household.

In the objective of interest of Kalafatis are primarily the monks’ faces. He talked to the each one, was in his cell, received a blessing. Many portraits are taken in close up, monumental and sometimes stylistically similar to an icon, while others resemble the paintings of Caravaggio.
