Museums: Collection of the Museum of Weapon in Tula enriched with the airborne combat vehicle
In the Tula State Museum of Weapon was presented a new exhibit - airborne combat vehicle (BMD-1P).
The complex is transferred to the museum on the eve of the command of the 106th Guards Tula Airborne Division on the Day of the Airborne Forces.
The combat vehicle was placed on the territory of the museum within the exhibition samples of large military equipment "Steel Guard" under the open sky. There is already more than a dozen different combat vehicles and systems, created by the Tula arms designer and earlier produced at the enterprises of the region.
The headquarters of the 106th Division is located in Tula. Tula State Museum of Weapon is recognized as one of the best federal museums, the exhibition presents all the basic samples, standing on the arms of the Russian army, as well as weapons of Western Europe and the East, starting from the XIV century. The museum was established at the arms factory, founded by decree of Peter I in 1712, his collection was formed since 1724. Currently, most of the museum is located in a new building in the shape of a helmet. The exhibits are also placed in the Epiphany Cathedral in the Kremlin.
