National culture: The Museum of Sholokhov in Crimea presents the exhibition “Word and Glory of Russia”

The exhibition "Word and Glory of Russia", which will be open to the public from August 5 to October 6, 2016 in Simferopol in the Crimean Ethnographic Museum, is dedicated to the work of the Great Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov and his global significance.

A huge talent, profound knowledge of the people's life, the humanist position allowed Sholokhov to say a new word in the literature, readers discovered a bright and passionate world of the Don Cossacks, brought glory to Russia.

The exhibition shows the many facets of the Cossacks, in the development of historical events. Visitors learn about the life of the Don Cossacks in the late XIX and early XX centuries, the history of the Cossacks and its traditions, to see how Cossacks dressed themselves, what Cossack nedded, the outgoing to the service characteristic of that time household items and tools.

On the life and work of M. A. Sholokhov, which are inextricably linked with the history of the country and its people, is covered in documents, photographs, books, memories.
