Russian regions: The exhibition “The best photographers of Russia” opened in Perm

On August 4, the Museum of Modern Art PERMM (Perm) held an exhibition «BEST OF RUSSIA-2015". Visitors of the exhibition will have the opportunity to see and appreciate the best three hundred works by renowned photographers and amateurs, who won at the famous project «Best of Russia».

The project is nine years, last year it took the inhabitants of 610 towns in the age between 16 and 82 years, who sent to the contest 22 000 photos. The international jury of the project: photographers, editors, cultural figures - have selected the best 294 photos. They will be presented at the exhibition which will be held only in four cities: Moscow, Kaliningrad, Perm and Novosibirsk.

During the Best of Russia project the existence of a huge step forward was made in Russian photography: both professional and amateur. During this time, a whole generation of young photographers who are just fans of photography have become authors, taking pictures for the media representing their works in museums and galleries around the world.

The exhibition includes photos from all categories of the project: "Nature", "Architecture", "People. Developments. Everyday life", "Style" and the special theme "War and Peace within us".

The exhibition will be open until September 4.
