History of Russia: Battle of the Vozha River of the XIV century to be reconstructed in the Ryazan region

In the Ryazan region on August 4 it already became traditional a historical festival "Battle of the Vozha", dedicated to the battle of Russian troops under the command of Dmitry Donskoy and troops of the Golden Horde. In 2016, the event has been held for the fourteenth time.

The festival will include reconstruction of the battle, which was the first major victory of the troops of the North-Eastern Russia over the host of the Golden Horde. It will be attended by foot soldiers and horse ones. Total the holiday will be visited by more than 150 representatives of historical reconstruction clubs.

Also here will be organized thematic workshops and historical photo studios. Visitors will be able to try dishes of the epoch, will see how peasants lived, and will get acquainted with crafts.

The festival will run until August 6 inclusive.
