History and culture: The monument to Nicholas II was erected in Kaluga

In Kaluga was opened the monument to the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II in honor of his arrival in the city in 1904. The bust was made by the initiative group of Kaluga residents and was erected on the viewing platform in the park of culture and recreation.

Later in the park will be created a complex dedicated to the Russian Empire. While there is no exact idea of what the complex will look like. We only know that it will be devoted to the country and the Church.

As soon as possible will be also resorted the "Tsar's gazebo". It was established in Kaluga in 1904 in honor of the Emperor's visit. According to activists, a gazebo can become another viewing platform, overlooking the river Oka.
