On September 23, 2016 at the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama Region (Udmurtia, Sarapul) starts the exhibition of the evacuation of museum collections "Peterhof - Sarapul. Special cargo".

The history of large-scale evacuation of museum collections of the Leningrad suburban palaces every year more rooted in the past, although this feat of museum employees is already known very little. To save the memory of people and events is designed in the project "Peterhof - Sarapul. Special cargo", prepared jointly by the State Museum "Peterhof" (St. Petersburg) and the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region (Sarapul).

Since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War began urgent packaging and evacuation inland museum exhibits of suburban residences - Peterhof, Tsarskoye Selo, Pavlovsk, Gatchina. The first three stages of museum objects went to Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod), where the fall of 1941 moved to Novosibirsk. Fourth place went to the evacuation of the city of Sarapul. Boxes with museum objects took Republican Science Museum Kama region, surpassing their own exposure. The fifth and sixth party did not have time to take out from Leningrad to the beginning of the blockade, they have remained in the besieged city and survived the war in the St. Isaac's Cathedral. All that did not have time to take out of Peterhof, which had been destroyed by the war, there were the ruins of palaces, a unique fountain system was destroyed, all the parks mined. For many years, we went to the revival of historical and cultural monuments, which are now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In 1984, at the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region was opened the exhibition, representing objects of historical collection of Peterhof, saved during the war of the Sarapula museum. The exhibition, which takes place in the museum today - a sign of gratitude and memory of Sarapul city and its residents for the preservation of the museum's collection Peterhof Palace and the continuation of cooperation between the two museums.

The basis of the exhibition lays down the principle of the installation. Moving through the dark hall, guided by the light of lamps, the visitor will get acquainted with the pages of museum evacuation and re-evacuation - will take way from Peterhof to the first days of the war-time revival in the palaces of their former greatness. The exhibition is not museum pieces, but you can see the military chronicle, keepers hear the memories, to get acquainted with the historical collection, which is stored in the walls of the Peterhof Museum.
