Exhibitions: Paintings and drawings of the XVIII-XX centuries from the collection of the Maritime Art Gallery in Moscow is presented within the project "Golden Map of Russia"

The thirty-ninth exhibition of the project "Golden Map of Russia", which opens at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow on September 23, 2016, will introduce the works from the collection of the Maritime Art Gallery. This year, the largest museum of the Far East region is 50 years old. It is timed to exchange of exhibitions between the Maritime Art Gallery, and the State Tretyakov Gallery. 52 works will come to Moscow and more than 60 works make up the exhibition "Urban Romance" - the first major exhibition in Vladivostok from the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery.

The project "Golden Map of Russia" presents funds of public art museums in Russia as a whole. Its purpose - to acquaint the public in Moscow, with the legacy of the masters stored at museums across Russia, and therefore little known to a wide audience.

The Maritime Art Gallery houses more than 7,400 exhibits. The exhibition at the State Tretyakov Gallery collection includes the best works of art of the second half of the XVIII - early XX century.

The exhibition will introduce the little-known paintings by famous artists whose work represents the different periods of development of Russian art.
