Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition "Alexander Rodchenko. The experiments for the future. To the 125th anniversary of his birth" in Moscow

From 23 September to 13 November 2016 in the Multimedia Art Museum (Moscow) is held the exhibition "Alexander Rodchenko. The experiments for the future. To the 125th anniversary of his birth" in the framework of the program "History of Russia in the photos".

Russian avant-garde of the XX century - a unique phenomenon, not only in Russian, but also world culture. The dazzling creative energy gained by the artists of this great era, still nourishes contemporary art and every one of us in contact with the art production of the era of Russian modernism. Alexander Rodchenko was certainly one of the main generators of creative ideas this time. Arts, design, theater, cinema, printing, photography… - all areas of art and culture, in which invaded the mighty talent of this very beautiful and very strong man, underwent a transformation, everywhere he opened a fundamentally new way.

Rodchenko introduced in photo the ideology of constructivism, developed methodological tools of its implementation. Opened by him techniques were rapidly replicated. They were used as his disciples and followers, as well as aesthetic and political opponents.
