Museums and Society: The IX All-Russian festival-conference "The Kremlin - to Children" in Moscow

September 13-15, 2016 in Moscow is held the IX All-Russia festival-conference "The Kremlin – to Children". The organizers of the festival are the Moscow Kremlin and the Moscow State Integrated Art and Historical, Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye-Izmailovo-Lefortovo-Lublino".

For the first time the festival "Kremlin - to Children" took place in 2000. At the same time in the Moscow Kremlin Museums the coordination center was established on the basis of which the festival, designed to unite museums across the country, has been held every two years.

"The Kremlin – to Children" exists as a platform for exchange of experience, joint meetings, discussions, master-classes, which helps to identify trends in the educational and outreach activities of museums, as well as to understand the role and place of the old and new forms and methods of work with children and youth audience.

In 2016 the theme of the festival-conference - "Museums in the architectural ensemble: a cultural and educational resource development prospects".

The conference covers not only the reports of experts, debating society on the topics, but also a practical acquaintance with the educational outreach activities of museums. At the sites will host exhibitions of children's creative works and teaching materials (programs, scripts, worksheets), workshops, the participants will get acquainted with the new museum expositions.

In 2016, the following issues will be discussed at the festival:

- Forms of work in modern conditions: the specificity and relevance.

- Interactive programs and new forms of work with children (search games, quests, etc.).

- Creative projects at the museum.

- Work with children of special categories (the disabled, children from orphanages, hearing impaired, visually impaired, etc.)

- Environmental education at the museum.

Special attention at the IX All-Russia festival "Kremlin – to Children" is given to methods of work with children of special category and Mutual communication of museums and schools. To do this, to take part in the festival are invited the school methodologists and teachers the meetings with who is expected to contribute to closer professional and creative contacts, cultural and educational institutions.
