History of Moscow: Festive events to the City Day are held in the capital

10-11 September 2016 Moscow celebrates 869 years since its foundation. For residents and guests is cooked over 1,000 events at 212 sites in the central part of the city and in all administrative districts. It is planned more than 300 concerts and music festivals; more than 100 workshops; over 200 free trips; 12 tall and 20 park fireworks. This year is expected to about 10 million participants.

The celebration is held under the slogan "Moscow - a city of Russian cinema", since 2016 is dedicated to Russian cinema, and the capital stands the flagship of the domestic film industry. The events connected with the history of cinema will be reflected in the program of the Day in 2016.

The main grounds of the City Day celebration will be the Tverskaya Street, the Red, the Manege, the Teatralnaya, the Pushkinskaya and the Bolotnaya Square, Arbat Street, Victory Park, Gorky Park, "Sokolniki", the Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" the Museum-Estate "Kolomenskoye", ENEA Moscow and pedestrian zone.
