1 September 2016

Funds of Marina Tsvetaeva House-Museum in Moscow will join the unique collection of autographs of the poetess. Transfer of documents is timed to the 75th anniversary of her death.

The collection includes twenty-five letters in envelopes. All of them are addressed to the family of Bogengardt. Thirteen letters were written by Tsvetaeva herself, nine - the husband of the poet Sergei Efron, three more were created together. The correspondence covers the period from 1922 to 1938. The first letters were written by the poet when her family decided to go to Prague.

Previously, these letters have never been published. In connection this correspondence is of great interest for the study of the creative heritage and biography of Marina Tsvetaeva. The museum of the poet already has documents and photographs by the Bogengardt family. Collection, transferred to the fund, will help to create a more complete archive of correspondence of Tsvetaeva, Efron and Bogengardt.

It is expected that the public will present a collection of autographs in 2017, when to the 125th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva in the museum will be organized the anniversary exhibition.
