The Year of Russian Cinema-2016: The exhibition "The Art of the suit in cinema. Strict style" in St. Petersburg

The G. R. Derzhavin Museum-Estate (the All-Russian Pushkin Museum, St. Petersburg) on October 31, 2016 opens the exhibition "Art in the suit in cinema. Strict style".

In the framework of the Year of Russian Cinema the Museum presents an exhibition of the suit, the Union of Artists’ member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Anna Nekrasova and young representatives in the field of photographic art of Olga and Egor Nekrasovs.

The exposition features costumes, accessories and photographs from the private collection of the artist, created over a long period of work in the domestic and foreign cinema. Some objects and costumes are already exhibited as part of the exhibition projects in St. Petersburg, a part will be shown for the first time.

The exhibition introduces visitors to the creative laboratory costume designer, whose main task is, using modern materials and technology, to carefully transfer the spirit of the time in the display images of their heroes. 

The exhibition will allow to get acquainted with the application design and reconstruction of the artistic design of historical objects in the film industry. It is no coincidence that for holding the G. R> Derzhavin Museum was chosen: historic interiors and original things like enter into a dialogue with the exhibition objects.
