Information technology and culture: The Virtual Branch of State Russian Museum in Novosibirsk

October 27, 2016 at the Novosibirsk State University of Architecture, Design and Art will be held the opening of the information and educational center "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" - the first virtual branch of the Russian Museum in Novosibirsk.

One of the missions of the university is the promotion of art and culture, the history of the Siberian architecture, design and art of the Siberian artists. The University opened two museums: the S> N. Balandin Museum of the history of architecture of Siberia and the Y. M. Kosov Museum of the History of design. Museum's collection includes more than 12 thousand items: rare photographs, projects from the 1900s to the 1990s, models, research papers and manuscripts, memorial materials of Siberian architects and designers.  

Opening of the information-educational center "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" will allow students and teachers to get to know the university with the largest collection of Russian fine art. A variety of multimedia programs and films on the history of Russian art, history and culture of Russia, created on the basis of the art collections of the Russian Museum and the partner museums of the project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" will be interesting for everyone without exception - both professionals and amateurs of Russian art. Project "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch" allows each participating cities to become part of a single cultural and information space, to tell about its history and cultural heritage of the wider audience of virtual branches of the Russian Museum in Russia and abroad.
