The territory of Russia: Exhibition "A New Earth. From the Glacier of Rose to the Abrosimov Bay" in Moscow

The classic photo gallery (Moscow), the Association of Photographers Wanderers and the P. P. Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences present the first photo exhibition about the unique archipelago of the Russian Arctic, "New Earth. From the Glacier of Rose to the Abrosimov Bay".

The exhibition is dedicated to the unique nature of the Arctic archipelago of New Earth. A New Earth - is a northern extension of the Ural mountain range in the sea, one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Russian Arctic, which separates the Barents Sea from the Siberian Arctic seas.

The exhibition features more than 80 photographs taken by the head of the maritime expeditions Mikhail Flint, photographers Jaroslav Amelin and Vladimir Onopko. On the "Academician Mstislav Keldysh" research vessel of the Institute of Oceanology the authors passed along the east coast of New Earth, and visited the places inaccessible to humans. On photographs viewers will see this distant northern land such a more than 500 years ago it appeared before the eyes of the discoverers.
