Russian culture abroad: Russian spiritual and cultural center and the World Congress of Russian Press will be open in Paris

October 19, 2016 the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky will take part in the opening ceremony of the Russian spiritual and cultural center in Paris, which will host the XVIII World Congress of Russian Press.

At the site of spiritual and cultural center will be brought together about 500 representatives of the Russian media from more than 60 countries. Congress organizers traditionally are the World Association of Russian Press, ITAR-TASS and the Foundation for Cooperation with the Russian Press (WARP).

During his visit to France, Vladimir Medinsky will be also open the exhibition "Sergei Shchukin. Masterpieces of the new art" in the fund "Louis Vuitton" (October 20), dedicated to the figure of the great Russian patron of the beginning of XX century - Sergei Shchukin, whose phenomenal gift enabled him to assemble a collection of masterpieces that have become a cult today. The exposition was prepared by the leading museums of Russia – the Pushkin Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Hermitage Museum.
